I was hoping I wasn’t the only one out there still using this chipset. Please feel free to email me if that would be easier. How are you getting them to work in the Windows 7 Beta?
That way it might be really easy to find it via search engines. On a side note, I guess the same. What should i do to achieve the same result? I was testing win7 on the weekend for the second time now and was pissed again whan the latest build did not recognize my and had to change back to integrated audio chipset which sounds a lot lamer and a lot noisier.
It’s still totally awesome that you did this. But for the life of me, I could not locate one single driver that would enable that motherboard audio under XP. At first I got no sound, and was totally bummed, xu8830 eventually found my way to the Software Mixer app it should have been easy to find like in XP then muted and un-muted the master Speaker volume, and heard a “click” or “blip”, and I thought – this is a good thing.
Aireal, I knew that Vista supported using XP sound drivers. I haven’t tested this as of yet, but I will surely do so when I find my MX I so remember when Turtle Beach was the shiznit.

You should maybe submit the fix to Softpedia, Major Geeks, BetaNews and other such sites so it is easy to find aurael google searches and the like. The Vortex audio accelerator chipset line from Aureal Semiconductor was designed to improve performance of their then-popular A3D audio technology.
Anyone know what my problem is? So, 22 found the last know drivers for XP — the 5. But now I downloaded your modified drivers and will give another try for win7. I don’t have the source code for the drivers, and it would take months to reverse engineer.

This work fine with this modified driver. There is a website somewhere on the net, which attempted to modify Aurel drivers for XP to work with hardware acceleration. I have a Monster Sound MX sound card.
